At SHBC, folks often hear the phrase, “People matter to God.”
They matter to us, too. The Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.—Luke 19:10.

We humbly recognize that we are among those Christ came to seek and save.

Jesus went beyond a mere rescue mission; he transformed lives. “Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven,” he taught his followers to pray.

Jesus came to redeem this broken world, and it is on this core belief that SHBC has built its mission statement: to turn irreligious people into fully devoted followers of Christ.

With this vision to see Christ’s redemptive purposes accomplished in the world, Stone Hill is committed to carrying on Christ’s mission by reaching out to those who are far from God, coaching those who follow Christ by equipping them for their spiritual journey, and unleashing unprecedented levels of compassion and justice into our broken world.

We believe:

  • that the church is a family, and each person a valuable member of it.
  • in vibrant worship
  • sound biblical teaching
  • Spirit-led lives
  • fellowship among believers

Whether you are a seeker, new believer, or someone who needs a new beginning, we hope this is where your search ends.

  1. Hi Judy! We are blessed to have had you at church again! The translation is New American Standard Version. It’s one of the better translations.

By the way, this is Pastor Joel. I’d really like to meet you the next time you’re at Stone Hill! God bless you!

    1. Hello, Pastor Joel. I haven’t actually attended, but I did send an inquiry because my niece needs to find a good church. Her name is Clare Kennedy. She called me today, and I believe she will be attending tomorrow (Sept 18) for the first time. Clare lives about a mile from your church. Her interest in attending tomorrow is an answer to prayer, and I know she will be blessed, especially if she is welcomed warmly by people in the congregation.

  2. Hi Pastor Joel ✝️. So happy to have received this reply from you!
I wanted to tell you i was/am so very saddened hearing the shocking news of your best friend. I uderstand how unexpected and young deaths are so much harder to believe, comprehend.
I will continue lifting you up to our BIG Triune GOD. HE wept also. He walks and weeps with us- especially in our deepest sorrows, when heart breaking news is hard to accept, He IS with us in these times!
I am praying you can accept His gifts of comfort and deep peace from the HolySpirit.
I wish you strength and courage in our God, to face tomorrow with many grateful happy memories of your dearest friend.
God’s deep peace, love and joy to you, Pastor- today, tomorrow and always.
In Jesus Christ✝️. His holy name above All names, JudyB.

    1. Hi Judy,
I just sent an email with my phone number. I’m hoping we can connect this week. Feel free to send your phone info in a return email and I can call you or you can feel free to call me this week. I look forward to hearing from you.

    2. Dear Pastor Joel, I didn’t check back on this site until today (Sept 17, 2022), and I see your several messages – thank you for making all those attempts to reach me! But I’m confused – I never received your email, and if the call came in it may have been filtered out as Spam if there was no caller ID, but if you left a message I would have received it. I did not send the June 30 message to you. Maybe some records are switched in your data files?… What was the email address you used to contact me? I may have thought it was spam, and if so I am so sorry. It would need to have something in the subject line that would help me recognize it as legitimate. I do pray things will go well, and I’m very hopeful to see Clare become involved in a solid, Bible-believing and Jesus loving congregation with a godly Pastor! (951) 788-9310 (Riverside CA)
